The wanderers

After a quick wardrobe change, we switched gears and went through the gardens for a Central Park themed engagement session. One of the best features to McGovern Centennial Gardens is the 360-degree view of the Museum District. You are nestled in the center of multiple hotels, tall buildings and high rises. It feels like central Downtown, but it looks like an oasis. All around the gardens there are little paths to wander down, and wander, we did. In strolling down one path, we found the rose gardens blooming. Pink and white roses all over the place break up the greenery and give the gardens a romantic feel year round. Continuing down that path leads to the sustainable living gardens. I love how the gardens are actually growing foods, herbs and the like. It makes for a private vegetable garden out back feel for the pictures.

Where there’s love, there’s fun

Hanging out with Quen and Louise is a joy and you cannot help but feel included and happy around them. They are so energetic in their adventures, you become sucked into their world and cannot help but be happy too! Everywhere we went, there were jokes, laughs, and antics to have a great time. Quen really kept this session on its toes. From giving him the parasol, to having him dip Louise, to the picture of him with the umbrella on the bench with her, everything was about having a great time. We were tired from laughing so much by the end, and even then, the jumping picture happened. Direction was effortless, because as I would think of things, they thought of them too. If they didn’t beat me to an idea, they were completely game to try. I cannot remember the last time I laughed that much on a shoot. It’s shoots like those, though, that bring my heart joy. Looking at the two of them, I knew two things for certain: the wedding was going to be epic, and the love would last.
